The Essential Journal is constructed from Minerva Box leather from Badalassi Carlo Tannery in Italy, which produces some of the finest leathers in the world today. Minerva Box is a full grain, vegetable-tanned leather that has been tumbled to achieve a rich and organic pebble-grain texture. This leather is incredibly supple and will develop a beautiful patina over time.
One Midori A5 Horizontal Lined notepad is included, and the journal is refillable with any Midori A5 size notepad. Monogramming can be added as an additional upgrade.
Each Essential Journal is made to order. Leather is a natural material that varies slightly from hide to hide and within each individual skin. Small marks are part of the natural beauty of the material and make each piece unique. The range of textures visible in the photographs is intended to showcase the differences between different hides/cuts of Minerva Box.
